James R. Rash, M.D., FACOG
A native of Henderson, Kentucky, Dr. Rash graduated from the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, with a B.S. Degree in Biology. He earned his MD degree from the Universidad Autonama of Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed his OB/GYN postgraduate study at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan, Los Angeles, California and Saint Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, Indiana. He was Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1981. Dr. Rash has twin children. He and his wife Diana have a daughter, Anna. Dr. Rash is active in the Carrollton Rotary Club and was on the vestry of Saint Margaret's Episcopal Church.
Daniel R. Nelson, M.D., FACOG
A native of Colorado, Dr. Nelson obtained a B.S. degree in Microbiology at Colorado State University in1981. He received his medical degree in 1985 from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. He then received his residency training in OB/GYN at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta. Dr. Nelson joined the practice in July 1989 and was Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1991. Dr. Nelson has two children, Cody and Suzanne.
Chris Jewell, M.D., FACOG
A native of Rockville, Maryland, Dr. Jewell graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.A. in chemistry. He earned his MD degree with honors from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in 1995. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga in 1999. He and his wife Kristen have two children, Austin and Lauren.
Kristy N. Nix, M.D.
A native of Decatur, Georgia, Dr. Nix received a B.S. degree in Biology and a B.A. degree in History at Winthrop University in 2000. She received her M.D. degree in 2004 from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at University of Florida-Shands in Jacksonville, Florida in 2008. She is board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She and her husband, Jay, have one daughter.
